Then the Angels
Got In On the Action

The moment, and I mean THE MOMENT I completed my first large canvas splatter paint with Jackson Pollock, the Angels and the Archangels got in on the art action.

I mean, by the time I completed my first splatter paint I was dreaming in splatter paint design. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on my next large canvas splatter paint. And I felt so confident about it I’d already invested in a 6’x18′ cotton canvas that I was planning on splicing in two for the double 6’x9′ canvas.

But my Spirit Team had other plans for me because shortly after I completed my first splatter paint, Pollock stage exited left. Vanished. Finito. Gone. And the Angelic squad that had swooped in began giving me instructions.

I was disoriented, even disappointed. I missed my buddy Jackson.

But the dealio with Spirit Team is that even though things might seem nuts, they do have a plan. I had to trust that. Especially as this second large canvas was happening at the same time that my Spirit Team was driving home the point of color mediumship channels and healing for my audience.

I was swimming in this stuff so much I couldn’t see my own forest for my own trees.

As far as my next large canvas was concerned, that’s about when the Archangelic realm was booming to me about blue, blue, BLUE, BLUE. And I was like, “Okay okay okay. I got it blue.” And that’s about when the “color mediumship healing” aspect of this second canvas began to sink in.

The Angels showed me deep deep blue — like deep ocean blue, deep sky blue — to the most pale blue, even white. And their message was waves and waves and waves and waves. By the time they were done channeling the images and energy to me, I got it. I knew that this was not about making it complicated. It was a complete immersion in the color blue, that had something to do with color mediumship healing, and my exploration of allowing the rhythm of very dark blue to very light blue flow through me onto the canvas.

So that’s what I did. At first, I wasn’t sure, but once I put down a few layers, I got it. I felt the difference in me when I just looked at the tide of different shades of blue. Something in me shift and calmed, and activated and felt better.

Through the creation of this canvas as the Angels have guided me in the waves and colors of blue, I can’t help but think that this piece is not only about the color/art of blue but it’s also about creating a healing shift, especially for the throat chakra. Because the throat chakra is blue . . . home to being seen, being heard, listening, observing as well as value, worth and identity.

All colors are important. Blue could not be more important for activating being seen and heard in value. And so this canvas that I simply began as blue has become so much more with the blue waves, the energy and the angels who are coming through it.

My Art Revolution Was One Thing.
The Psychic Mediumship Intervention
with Jackson Pollock Was Another.

My overnight art revolution was outlandish enough, but then psychic mediumship got in the way and it became spectacularly crazy. I mean, I felt perfectly fine experimenting in water color with my small watercolor notebooks on my own. That was pretty lovely. And yes, I’d have general “conversations” with my Spirit Team, intuitively, about my progress and process. And I thought everything was moving along fine.

Evidently not. That wasn’t enough for my Spirit Team.

Because late summer, none other than Jackson Pollock literally raged into my energy space and goosed me until I was trying to splatter paint watercolor on my teeny-tiny notebooks.

It was crazy. It was comical. Paint was everywhere. But it was enough to give me the splatter paint bug. But to justifiably do splatter paint, I had to entertain the unthinkable: large canvas. And who was I to even attempt large canvas at this point in my nascent art journey? For awhile I kept thinking, “No, not yet.”

But then, one day, I sat down with my pendulum to ask the question, “As an artist, what is my most optimal canvas size for painting? That best fits with me?” You know what the pendulum said? Freaking six foot by nine foot. Even 9 foot by 12 foot on a good painting day. It took me awhile to digest that. I pulled out my tape measure and marked it off on the floor. Paced around it. Laid down in the middle of it. It seemed large, too large.

Then, the night I tried to splatter paint a 12″ x 9″ canvas, I left more paint on the concrete patio then I did on the art. OMG, it was fun and it was fuuuuuuunnnnny. That’s when I got it. Like . . . GOT . . . IT. I felt it through my body. I wasn’t going to be satisfied as an artist until I could “rage” with the paint across a large canvas and not care about “trying to get it to fit into a tiny space.”

I mean, that’s been my life. I’ve always been this larger than life, colorful person that I’ve had to stuff down into a small zoot suit to get my life to work — even in the spiritual community, maybe even especially in the spiritual community. I had to mask up and make myself smaller for people to “get” me, for people to be comfortable around me.

Somehow a 6′ x 9′ canvas began to make a lot of sense. Splatter paint began to make a lot of sense. Pollock in my energy space began to make a lot of sense. And that’s when I went for it. I purchased a package of inexpensive painter’s cotton canvas drop cloths so I wouldn’t worry about a high quality canvas. I picked up my acrylics and paint flow medium. And I let myself go to town.

And wouldn’t you know, the moment I had my canvas outside on the concrete, birds singing, sun shining, Pollock energetically showed up at my elbow. I could feel him glow-grinning. And that’s when he began coaching me from the other side of the veil. For real. As I stood at the base of the canvas he’d give me an instruction, I do it and then it just went like that for awhile. Instruction, action. Instruction, action. Instruction action. Layers and layers of paint.

Eventually, I landed the completion of my first six foot by nine foot splatter paint canvas here:
